Omar Shaikh is a Milwaukee-based restaurateur, developer, and community leader best known as the owner of Carnevor Steakhouse and as a co-developer of 3rd Street Market Hall in downtown Milwaukee, an acclaimed food hall that has helped energize a once-quiet part of the city. He’s been one of the city’s most influential hospitality figures for more than two decades, combining high-end dining with broader urban development projects. Beyond his business ventures, Shaikh has played a significant role in civic and tourism efforts, serving as board chair of VISIT Milwaukee and on the Wisconsin Center District board, and advocating for major local initiatives such as the expansion of the Milwaukee convention center. He’s also active in community philanthropy and collaborative leadership aimed at bolstering Milwaukee’s growth and quality of life.
